Visit the lighthouses of the island
In Menorca you will see 7 lighthouses that are spread throughout the island. They all have their charm, but the best places to go with children are the Cavalleria and Favàrtix lighthouses.
Cool off in a water park
Menorca has 4 water parks, with the usual: slides, trampolines, wave pools and others that will make the day more fun.
The Aqua Centeris located in Cala de En Blanes de Ciutadella. With 12,500 square meters, it is super complete with water and play areas, a karting track and a restaurant.
The Aqua Rock is also quite extensive, located in the Cala En Bosque de Ciutadella urbanization. Its facilities include a large number of slides, themed pools, as well as a go-kart track as well as a restaurant.
Smaller but also very cool are the Splash Sur Menorca in Sant LLuis and Carema Splash Park in Fornells, which is part of a hotel complex.
Approaching animals
The LLoc de Menorcais a mix of zoo and farm. Here the little ones can touch and feed indigenous breeds of the island such as sheep, cow, horse or chicken. There are also some wild animals such as reptiles and the friendly lemurs.
Many of the animals such as macaques have been taken in thanks to projects with European rescue centers.
Some days a week you can attend a raptor free flight demonstration.
Visit ports
The two main cities on the island are Mahón and Ciutadella. Walking through the port or getting lost in the streets of the center is recommended. Mahón is the largest natural port in the Mediterranean and both the port and the old town can be visited with a tourist train that will delight the little ones. Around five o’clock in the afternoon the boats arrive from the sea, a show for the children.
Ciutadella is more “rustic” than the capital and gives the feeling of a great town. Get lost in its stone streets and alleys, visit the port and the lighthouse.
Jeep tours
One of the most original and fun activities is to enroll in the little great adventure of doing a safari in Jepp in Menorca with children. Accompanied by a local guide, in convertible vehicles with capacity for 7/9 people, the excursion includes a visit to some of the most inaccessible and unknown viewpoints and coves for most tourists, culminating with the time of sunset over the sea, a picture of great beauty that is difficult to forget.
Walk up mount Toro
Mount Toro is the highest point on the entire island. With its 358m of altitude you can enjoy spectacular views of the northern part or even go late in the afternoon to see the sunset.
