Mount Toro

Mount Toro is the highest point in Menorca at 358 meters, from there you can see the entire contour of the island and, even if the day is favorable, you can get to see Mallorca.

At the top, in addition to the great views, you will find the Sanctuary of the Virgen de Monte Toro, built in the 17th century on a Gothic church. Inside the sanctuary we can see a statue of the Virgin carved in wood.

Today the sanctuary is in the hands of the Franciscan religious order of Mercy and is inhabited by cloistered nuns.

At the top you will also find a Christ (a small version of Christ the Redeemer), a souvenir shop and a bar-restaurantwith a terrace that offers magnificent views.
