Sant Antoni festival Fornells

The Sant Antoni festival in Fornells is one of the most important in Menorca. The typical jaleos are held in the S’algaret square, in the heart of the fishing port, with the blue of the sea in the background and the soft smell that carries the north breeze and that sneaks through the horses and the crowd that surrounds them .

In this seafaring town on the island’s north coast, the patron saint festivities are celebrated on the fourth weekend of July (July 27 and 28).

Durante esos dos días se organiza una cabalgata (qualcada) de caballos como en el resto de pueblos de la isla.
With Fornells as main economic activities tourism and fishing, the participating riders, farmers in general, are not all locals. Most of them come from Es Mercadal and the rest of the island’s municipalities.
These parties are distinguished from the others especially by their setting.
