Sant Jaume Festival Es Castell

Es Castell, also known as Villacarlos, is an example of the coexistence of cultures and traditions for many years. And that shows in their parties.

The Sant Jaume Festival is celebrated on July 24 and 25, coinciding with the date of the town’s patron saint, San Jaime.
The streets of the town are taken over by the horses, their riders and the crowd that comes to participate in the typical jaleos of the square, while the bars also fill them with tables and chairs, music and dancing, to complete a scene magnificent playful.

After the exercise that involves participating in the fuss, it is advisable to recharge your batteries in any of the restaurants that line the sea in one of the most picturesque corners of the port of Maó: the small fishing port of Cales Fons, right at the foot of Es Castell.
